Erith Playhouse has an extensive wardrobe which it hires to other theatre groups and theatre members.. The hire period is usually on a weekly basis from Tuesday to Tuesday.

Props Hire

Erith Playhouse has both an extensive properties and furniture collection which it hires to other theatre groups. The hire period is usually on a weekly basis from Sunday to Sunday. All our main furniture items are catalogued to help identify suitable pieces.

Theatre Hire

Erith Playhouse can be hired by other community groups, such as local dance schools, musicians etc. However, due to our own production schedule this is normally limited to the first couple of weeks in July, and around the last week in January.

The theatre seats 195 people and the charges depend on your requirements, but as a guide Erith Playhouse charges a basic venue hire per performance, with additional charges for technical staff (per person). These are negotiable as is rehearsal time. We would require a 25% deposit, with the agreed balance due on the day of the performance.

Because there are so few dates available throughout the year, we do get booked up very quickly. If you know when you would like the theatre, please check availability with us as soon as possible.

Also if you have never seen either front of house or backstage at the Playhouse, we are happy to arrange to show you around at a suitable time.

Once you are happy with Erith Playhouse as a venue and know the dates you are looking for, the next step is to apply formally to the theatre Board with the dates you would like to use the theatre. Please write to our company secretary (address below), outlining the type of show, dates and times of performances and rehearsals together with any staffing requirements you may want. We can then agree the dates and total cost.
